How do I upload files to my website?

Uploading of files to your website is normally done by the file transfer protocols FTP or SCP/SFTP.

There are several FTP and SCP/SFTP programs. There are specialized programs only used for file transfer, and it is also possible to transfer files directly from some of the programs used for making web pages.

Examples of FTP programs that we recommend are:

• CoreFTP for Windows

To log into your FTP account, enter the server name "ftp.domeneshop.no". If you use SCP/SFTP, enter the server name "scp.domeneshop.no"/"sftp.domeneshop.no". Use your FTP username and password for both types of file transfer.

Files, documents, images etc. intended to be visible and available via the web must be placed in the directory (folder) "www".
