2022-11-30 15:18: PHP update from 7.x to 8.x
This afternoon, we have started sending reminders to our customers to update from PHP 7 to 8.1. Additionally, we will make PHP 8.2 available to our customers in December.

PHP 7 is no longer supported by PHP. To avoid problems with your website, you must update your software (e.g. Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, Laravel) to support PHP 8.1 and newer.

You can already now and until January 16th 2023 upgrade to PHP 8.1.

IMPORTANT! Before upgrading, you must do the following:

Update your software to support PHP 8.1 and newer
Ensure that extensions/plugins support PHP 8.1 and newer
Ensure that templates/themes support PHP 8.1 and newer
Enable automatic updates for your software and extensions/templates/themes

The upgrade to PHP 8.1 is managed via self-service as follows:

Login in to the control panel on our secure website
Click on "My domains"
Click on the domainname
Enter the webhotel tab
Click on "View/change" on the PHP line
Select your desired PHP version
Click on the "Update" button to save your change

The change takes effect within a few minutes.

If you experience problems, you may temporarily downgrade to PHP 7.4 to make the webpages work again. The upgrade is inevitable, so contact your web developer if you experience problems with the upgrade.

We automatically upgrade your webhotel to PHP 8.2 on January 17th 2023, if you still use PHP 7.
