2024-11-08 11:49: Norid warns against attempted fraud
Several holders of .no domains are experiencing fraud attempts with fake e-mails purporting to be from Norid, and demanding payment for domain subscriptions.

Norid never requires direct payment from domain holders or others involved with domains.

2024-11-08 11:40: Aggressive telephone sales from Protectia

We have learned that several of our customers have been exposed to aggressive telephone sales from Protectia. The conversations usually take place in Swedish.

Domainnameshop has no agreement with Protectia. If the impression is given that this is a collaboration, or something that you must have as a customer of Domainnameshop, then it is untrue.

Protectia and other callers have probably obtained names and telephone numbers from the Brønnøysund registers, Whois, or other publicly available sources.
