Service announcements
2009-11-27 14:03: PHP 4 to be discontinued December 31On December 31, 2009, we will discontinue all support for PHP 4, in accordance with previous newsletters and status messages.
This means that all customers who currently are using a webserver with PHP 4 must upgrade to PHP 5 before that date.
Customers using webservers with PHP 4, but who do not themselves use PHP 4, must also upgrade to a webserver with PHP 5.
You can read about how to find your webhotel PHP version and how to upgrade in our FAQ.
Customers on a PHP 4 server with a dedicated IP address will receive a separate e-mail with instructions on how to upgrade. To check if you have a dedicated IP address, click "View/change" at the end of the line starting with "Primary address of web hotel" in the webhotel administration in our control panel. If you have a dedicated IP address and have further questions, you may also contact us for more information.
Customers who do not perform the upgrade themselves, will be automatically transferred to a server with PHP 5 in early 2010.
Regretfully, we cannot guarantee that automatically transferred web pages will function correctly after an upgrade to PHP 5. It is therefore important that you perform the necessary updates and changes before you or we upgrade your webhotel to PHP 5.
