For domain registration under .no
the following conditions:
- Applicant must be a private individual over 18 living in Norway or an organization/a company that is registered with a 9-digit organization number in the Brønnøysund Registry (The register authority and central source of information in Norway). Sole proprietorships and organizations may also register a domain name, if assigned an organizations number (registering with the Brønnøysund Registry is free for these organization types).)
- Certain types of organizations cannot register under .no, even though they have an organization number. This includes sub-entities, foreign entities, joint ownerships and organizations of the type "Other legal person". A complete list of organization types allowed under .no can be found here.
- It is allowed with 100 domainnames directly under .no for organizations and five domains directly under .no for private individuals, as well as 5 domain names under each of the geographical sub domains (.oslo.no, .bergen.no, etc.)
For domain registration under the subdomain .priv.no the requirements are:
- Over 18 years
- Residing in Norway
- Registered in the Norwegian National Register with a social secuity number
For domain registration under .eu one must have an address in an EU country or an EEA countries (Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein). For domain registration under .fr and .it the applicant need an address in the EU, EEA or Switzerland.
For the other top level domains that Domainnameshop offers there are no such restrictions. Here, both organizations and individuals may apply, and there is no limit to the number of domains per applicant.
