Can I use the Unix shell to run bots or other long running applications?

No, bots (e.g. IRC bots) or other long running applications are not permitted.

The Unix shell is provided to ease webhosting administration, and this server is configured with that in mind.

You may install and use other software to administer and maintain your webhosting. You do so at your own responsibility and risk. We cannot provide support for such software, and we cannot guarantee that it will work now or in the future.

We may disable and remove software, if we think it uses too much CPU, memory, bandwidth, or other resources, if it is a security risk, or if it imperils stability and performance for other customers.
