Domainnameshop are upgrading and moving!

We are launching a new website soon - for new customers only

We will be launching a new website with new products soon. Initially, it will be available to new customers.

When we launch the new website, existing customers will continue to use the current customer portal as before. You can manage services and order domains the same way as today.

If you want to test the new products, you can create a separate account on the new platform. All the services you have with us today will continue as normal, and you don't need to do anything.

After the summer, we will gradually move existing customers to the new platform. Everyone will receive more information well in advance of this happening.

Domainnameshop are upgrading and moving!

For many years, Domainnameshop have been localised on the same premises. We have lately taken important steps to prepare for the future. This includes moving into a new datacenter in Oslo, with higher capacity and improved redundancy.

We are doing this in order to offer better, faster, and more stable services to our customers, with improved availability, increased security, and better performance.

What does this mean for you?

Existing users will initially notice little of these changes. You will be migrated to the new platform at a later date, at the earliest after the summer, and during 2027.

There will be minimal or no downtime related to the migration, and you do not have to do anything to prepare in advance. Your data will be handled in a safe and secure manner during the whole process.

Few changes will be made to our services or staffing. You will still receive the same excellent customer service, fast domain registration, and services like DNS, E-mail, and web hosting.

When will this happen?

The migration starts in June, and only new customers (new administrator accounts) will start on the new Domainnameshop. These will be given access to a brand new control panel with more functions than before.

For current customers (existing administrator accounts), we will start the migration over the summer.

A reseller-module is also under development, which we hope our major customers will find useful, which includes a more flexible access control function.

There will be some limitations in the beginning: Domain watch, pre-orders, and premium domains will be unavailable for a period of time for new customers. These services are only used by a limited number of users per today.

We will publish screenshots, guides, and a dedicated FAQ-page as the control panel and our new web site are launched.

Existing customers will be migrated in steps, and you will not have to do anything to prepare for this in advance.

We want this transition to be as smooth as possible for our customers, and you will therefore be able to submit a desired time and date for the migration, so we can plan the transition accordingly.
