We have more than 25 years of experience in domain name registration and hosting. We currently host over 600,000 domain names on behalf of more than 100,000 customers - private persons, companies, organizations and public bodies. We are one of Scandinavia's largest domain name registrars, and one of only a handful that are ICANN accredited. We are by far the largest .no registrar with a market share of over 45%.

Our network
We operate and maintain our own server park which is based on solid and well-tested OpenSource technology (Linux). We have redundant Internet connections and servers with an availability of more than 99.95%. Our main server center is located in Oslo, Norway. We have direct traffic interchange (peering) with the major Internet operators in Oslo, Stockholm and Copenhagen. For global traffic we use Lumen, Cogent and Arelion, who are amongst the largest providers of global IP traffic.
Corporate Social Responsibility
We at Domainnameshop are supporters of sustainable business practices. Our servers are powered by electricity that comes from 100% renewable energy (i.e. hydropower/wind power/solar power, not coal/nuclear power). We are covered by the Norwegian Transparency Act, which came into force on 1 July 2022 and whose goal is to ensure basic human rights and decent working conditions. An account of the due diligence assessments that have been carried out in 2022 will be published here by 30 June 2023.

Domeneshop AS was established in Oslo, Norway in 1996. We have grown steadily over the years, and today we are one of Scandinavia's leading domain name registrars and hosting companies. We currently have offices in Oslo, Larvik and Kristiansand. In 2023 our turnover will reach approx. NOK 100 million.
